IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Frequently asked questions
• We supply all of the rods, reels and tackle needed for the fish we are targeting.
• Dress appropriately for the seasonal weather. Bring sunglasses and sunscreen, even in the colder months. Bring either your phone or a camera to take pictures during the trip.
• You should bring a cooler with the food and drink for the day.
• We ask that you and your party consolidate the coolers you bring on the boat. You may want to have a separate cooler that you leave in your vehicle to take the fish home.
• The Marina will have ice for sale
• We have all the needed safety equipment (life preservers, fire extinguishers, vhf radios, etc.) Regulations require that children 13 years of age and younger wear a life vest when on the boat. If you plan to have children in this age range, you may want to bring them a comfortable life vest (ski vest type) to wear on the boat. We have the orange children’s life preservers on the boat but they can be a bit uncomfortable and hot in the summer months.
• The rate for our fishing trips is $1100.00 per day.
• We require a $250.00 deposit if the trip is booked more than two weeks in advance
• A portion of the $1100.00 will go to the mate, although we encourage you tip them a bit more if you feel you’ve had a good day. Possibly $15 to $20 extra per person if there are 6 people in your party.
There are a couple of options for your stay
• If you are looking for a smaller rental home in a waterfront community that can accommodate up to 6 people, please reach out to Elaine – 201-738-3008. She is roughly $100 per night and about 15 minutes from the marina.
• If you prefer a motel, please contact the Bay Motel at 804-220-2027. They are about 5 minutes from the marina. http://www.baymotelvirginia.com/(http://www.baymotelvirginia.com/)
