Our Story

Waters Edge Specialty Pruning & Plant Health Care, LLC

waters-edge-logo-symbol.png

Jason began his career as an arborist with a national firm and spent over 15 years learning the profession and skills to consult, advise, and implement programs with his clients to care for their trees and shrubs.  For the past 10 years, Jason was the co-owner of a Richmond based arboricultural company that grew from 5 employees to over 30.  During this time they built a reputation for being the tree care leader in the central Virginia region.  Jason also enjoys educating others on the benefits of good arboriculture and has been a featured speaker at local and national events.  He is the only ISA Board Certified Master Arborist in the Lake Anna and Northern Neck regions.

Anna spent her years doing the really important work, as Jason says.  She homeschooled their children Gracie and Caleb from kindergarten through their graduation from high school.  Their youngest son, Chase, was homeschooled through the 7th grade but wanted to pursue football and chose to attend public school to pursue his passion.  Gracie is now obtaining her Master's degree in Public Administration with an agricultural advocacy focus at Virginia Tech after graduating in 2021 with her Bachelors degree in Agribusiness. Caleb attended Lincoln Tech in Nashville and graduated in late 2021. He is now located in Texas and following his dream of being a Diesel mechanic. Chase currently attends Virginia Tech and will graduate spring 2024 with his Associates in Landscape and Turf Management. Chase and Jason are proud father and son, and are also brothers within the Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity which is an agricultural fraternity. We are hopeful Chase will enjoy arboriculture and want to take over the business someday.

In 2020, Jason and Anna decided to make a change to pursue their own passion of working together in a field that they truly enjoy by starting Waters Edge Specialty Pruning and Plant Health Care, LLC.  "It has been a dream of ours for many years and it is exciting to see it come to life.  We feel that God has given us this opportunity and a new chapter in our lives."
